Operation steps of airtightness tester

After starting the airtightness detector, clamp the test workpiece tightly and send a start signal to the detector. The following steps are mainly divided into:

1、 Inflate

This step of the airtightness detector is also known as the pressurization action. When all three solenoid valves are in the open state and the required ports are blocked, the intake valve opens to allow the airflow to pass smoothly and smoothly, completing the inflation and pressurization of the test port and reference chamber. The inflation time is calculated by calculating the flow rate. Because rapid airflow can cause temperature rise, it is necessary to extend the time until the temperature recovers. If the volume of the tested workpiece is large, filling materials can be manually added to shorten the inflation time of the airtightness detector; If the filling material cannot enter the workpiece or will contaminate the workpiece, the method of secondary pressure can also be used.

2、 Voltage stabilization

At the beginning of the airtight detection chamber, there will be a temperature change from low to high, causing internal gas turbulence. A stable airflow indicates that the temperature has reached equilibrium. Therefore, in order to accurately measure, it is necessary to ensure that the airflow inside the chamber is stable and there are no large fluctuations. Therefore, we need to close the solenoid valve. The time required for stabilizing the pressure is set as the time difference between waiting for the valve to close and the pressure fluctuation to balance. Numerical calculations can use the oscillation wave formula, and larger leaks can be detected at this stage. The balance and voltage stabilization stage of the airtightness detector is an important step in preparing for the next detection stage, and the balance time is a crucial factor in ensuring accurate detection.

3、 Testing

The core step of using an airtight detector for testing is to detect minor leaks. Differential pressure airtightness testing is also carried out in this step, and the testing time needs to be carefully calculated. Then, the pressure decay method is used to determine the leakage rate based on the rate of pressure drop. Then the differential pressure sensor converts the pressure difference into a voltage signal, which is amplified and transmitted to the main controller of the airtightness detector.

4、 Exhaust gas

The final stage of the airtightness detector requires opening the exhaust valve to release the gas from the test port and reference chamber into the atmosphere. Then provide a signal indicating whether there is a leak, thus completing the entire detection process.
