What are the testing indicators of airtight testing equipment

The airtight detection equipment calculates the pressure drop and chamber volume of the sealed chamber, and the magnitude of the pressure drop is closely related to the detection pressure and detection time. Any change in any parameter will directly affect the detection results. In the process of conducting air tightness testing on products, some products have air inlets, which can be directly connected to test tubes to pressurize the inside of the product for air tightness leak detection. There are also some products that are completely sealed and do not have inflation ports. To test these products, it is necessary to first customize a precision sealing mold that fits the product, connect the instrument, and then place the product into the sealing mold for testing. When starting the test, the instrument will apply quantitative pressure to the sealing mold. When the product does not leak, the pressure inside the sealing mold is constant; When a product leak is detected, a portion of the quantitatively charged gas will enter the interior of the product, so products with leaks will display lower pressure during testing compared to products without leaks. This can quickly detect whether the product is leaking.

Several testing indicators of airtight testing equipment:

1、 Detecting pressure

Whether the leakage of the workpiece is qualified is judged under the testing pressure conditions given by the corresponding standards. For leaks of the same size, when the detection pressure changes, the pressure drop caused within the same time period will also change. Similarly, for workpieces with minor leaks, the amount of leakage may vary under different detection pressures.

2、 Testing time

The detection process of airtight detection equipment is divided into four stages: inflation, balance, detection, and exhaust. Each stage requires time setting, and the gas needs to reach a stable state before leakage detection can be carried out. In an ideal situation, the longer the detection time, the higher the accuracy of leak detection. However, in use, a reasonable time range needs to be determined based on the actual situation to ensure efficiency.

3、 Detection interval time

According to the ideal state gas equation:

In PV=nRT formula:

P - the pressure of an ideal gas;

V - the volume of an ideal gas;

N - quantity of gaseous substance;

T - thermodynamic temperature of an ideal gas.

In order to improve the detection accuracy and efficiency of airtight detection equipment and achieve detection automation, the currently popular airtight detection method is the differential pressure method. If there is a leak in the tested container, it will inevitably cause the loss of gas quality and pressure drop inside the container, reducing the original gas pressure inside the container. By measuring the gas pressure drop inside the container, the actual amount of gas leaked in the container can be derived to achieve the purpose of airtight detection.
